In this well organized post by Andrew Gothelf on the salesforce blog, tips on how to create successful social media content are detailed. Tips include making the customer the hero, mobilizing your entire company, sticking to your business goals, creating a content engine and more. This is an excellent post for anyone in advertising, marketing, social media, content generation, or publishing.

THE RISE OF VISUAL SOCIAL MEDIA

In recent history, social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and even Twitter, have been contributing to the trend of visual content as being of increasing value to advertisers and marketers. The article goes on to highlight how increasing mobile social media use is fueling this change, and how marketers are currently taking advantage of visual content. This Fast Company article by Ekaterina Walter is a great read.

PLATFORM COUNTS! THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FACEBOOK, TWITTER AND LINKEDIN WRITING

Courtney Ramirez of Six Degrees Content, reminds us of the importance of tailoring written content to various social media platforms in this Windmill Networking Blog post. Courtney goes on to outline the rationale and benefits of creating content specifically for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
