Twitter accounts that may be of public interest can now apply for verification. According to Twitter, “Typically this includes accounts maintained by public figures and organizations in music, TV, film, fashion, government, politics, religion, journalism, media, sports, business, and other key interest areas.”
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Vine, and YouTube all had quiet news weeks with no announcements worth reporting.
