Thanks again for checking out Last Week on Social, the blog series dedicated to providing a simple way to stay on top of the latest news and announcements from each of the major social media networks.
Every week, we round-up the latest updates from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, Vine, YouTube, and others that may impact the way you use social media networks for your business.
For the period of September 5 – 11, here’s a breakdown of news from last week on social:
Expanded Lookalike Audience Tools
A new feature in the Lookalike Audiences tool enables advertisers to reach potential customers in new countries who are similar to current customers.
Updated Publishing Experience
The LinkedIn desktop publishing experience has been updated to include a new user interface, more text and font options, and a new reading view. This update has been launched in the U.S., with international roll-out soon.
Affiliate links are being added by Tumblr to links that don’t already have one.
Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Vine, and YouTube had quiet news weeks with no announcements worth reporting.
As always, if we’ve missed something, please feel free to bring it to our attention in the comments.
