Comments on Instagram are becoming a safer, self-moderated space with the introduction of keyword filters. All users can now establish custom lists of words they find offensive or inappropriate to filter out any comments including those words.
Link ads have been redesigned to include a larger CTA button that extends the entire width of an ad; a highlight animation of the CTA button when users demonstrate some level of interest; the addition of a CTA button to the comments section of each ad; and, the automatic inclusion of additional information such as a price or destination URL being automatically included in the CTA button.
Two great new features have been added for businesses that provide customer service support: 1) businesses can now indicate that they provide support, and this information will show up in search results, and 2) businesses that provide customer service support can indicate on their profiles the hours during which customers can expect a response.
Facebook, LinkedIn, Vine, and YouTube had quiet news weeks with no announcements worth reporting.
