Events is a new app from Facebook that helps people browse, keep track of, and plan events by the Pages they like, and events they are already connected to. Events is currently only available on iOS in the US.
Features receiving an accessibility overhaul include: navigation bars, search tools, photo page, photo lists, and camera roll. Major updates include keyboard navigation options, as well as expanded support for screen readers.
Open Candidates is a new feature that enables users to privately signal to recruiters that they are open to new job opportunities, and also to specify the types of opportunities they are open to. This feature is launching in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, and will be available globally soon.
A new feature has been added that enables content creators to disclose their content as being promotional via a simple overlay. This can be applied to new videos, and existing videos without resetting video metrics.
Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Vine had quiet news weeks with no announcements worth reporting.
