Thanks for checking out Last Week on Social, the blog series dedicated to providing a simple way to stay on top of the latest news and announcements from each of the major social media networks.
Every week, we round-up the latest updates from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, Vine, YouTube, and others that may impact the way you use social media networks for your business.
For the period of October 10 – 16, here’s a breakdown of news from last week on social:
Workplace by Facebook
Workplace is essentially Facebook for – you guessed it – business! A paid platform, Workplace is now available to any company or organization.
Expanding Video Streaming Capabilities to TV
Video streaming to TV capabilities are being expanded to include Android devices streaming through Chromecast.
Windows 10 Tablets
Instagram is now available on tablets running Windows 10.
Connecting Content Creators with Brands
YouTube recently acquired FameBit to help connect brands and content creators and identify branded content opportunities.
LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and Vine had quiet news weeks with no announcements worth reporting.
As always, if we’ve missed something, please feel free to bring it to our attention in the comments.
